1. Reps to probe age falsification in MDAs: The House of Representatives has declared its intention to investigate the activities of Anti-Corruption Transparency Units across all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies in the country about age falsification among civil servants.
This is as the House, presided over by the Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas, urged its committees on Public Service Matters, Special Duties, Federal Character, and National Planning and Economic Development to invite the Head of Service of the Federation to provide comprehensive details of all civil servants assigned to the MDAs for verification, to identify potential culprits.
2. Atiku tackles Tinubu as Senate okays $2.2bn loan request: The 2023 presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has characterised the loans taken by President Bola Tinubu as burdensome for Nigerians, warning that they will place unbearable strain on the economy.
In a statement on November 21, the former Vice President said, “These Tinubu’s loans are bone-crushing to Nigerians and bringing insufferable pressure on the economy, especially when they are not properly negotiated and utilised.”
3. NEC moves to end grid collapse, sets up committee on national electrification: The National Economic Council, NEC, on November 21, reinforced implementation of the National Electrification Strategy in a bid to end the collapse of the nation’s power grid.

Reps to criminalise dichotomy between HND, BSc certificates: The House of Representatives is currently working on a bill to criminalise dichotomy and discrimination between holders of Higher National Diploma from Polytechnics and Bachelor’s Degree from universities, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass, has said.

FAO predicts 33.1m Nigerians will face hunger in 2025: Determined to take proactive measures against the expected food crisis anticipated for next year, the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations has begun the distribution of farm inputs to 49,000 farmers in the North-East region.
While speaking at the flag-off of the distribution in Gerie Local Government Area of Adamawa State on November 21, Mr Luc Leger Manga, the Emergency Programme Specialist Coordinator who represented the FAO Representative in Nigeria and ECOWAS, said that the driving factors behind the intervention include the significant impacts of the global trends in the world, climate change, and devastating floods.
