1. 'Tinubu’s policies worsening North’s condition', says ACF: The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has urged President Bola Tinubu to address insecurity, education, and economic development in northern Nigeria, emphasising the need to reassess economic policies to alleviate hardship.
The pan-northern socio-political organisation made the call in a communique after its National Executive Council meeting in Kaduna on November 20.
2. Dangote resumes US crude purchase after three months: Dangote Petroleum Refinery has resumed purchasing crude oil from the United States after a three-month break to boost oil production and refining capacity.
According to a report by Bloomberg on November 20, a shipment of two million barrels of WTI Midland crude from Chevron is expected at the refinery next month.
3. Exam malpractices: WAEC deregisters 13 Kogi schools, blacklists 14 supervisors: The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has de-registered 13 schools and blacklisted 14 supervisors in Kogi State for involvement in exam malpractices during the 2023/2024 session.
The state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Wemi Jones, warned that principals, teachers, and supervisors implicated will face prosecution under Kogi’s Education Law of 2020.
