Prominent leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has confidently declared his intention to contest and win the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking at the inauguration of the NNPP Secretariat in Katsina, Kwankwaso outlined his vision for the party's future and urged Nigerians to support his bid for the presidency.
Kwankwaso, who has been a key figure in Nigerian politics, emphasised the NNPP’s readiness to assume leadership across all levels of government.
"Our party is poised and prepared for the upcoming elections. We are committed to bringing about meaningful change and are ready to lead Nigeria towards a prosperous future," Kwankwaso stated.
During his address, Kwankwaso called on Nigerians, particularly women and youths, to stand firm against election bribery and corruption.
He urged them to remain vigilant and make their voices heard in the democratic process. "It is imperative that we resist the temptation of bribery and corruption. Our collective effort is crucial for a transparent and fair electoral process," he said.
Kwankwaso also encouraged the NNPP’s leaders to bolster their efforts in building a robust campaign strategy and engaging with the electorate. He stressed the importance of grassroots mobilisation and the need for a unified front to ensure the party’s success in the 2027 elections.

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state had declared his intention in the 2027 presidential election during the launch of the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) campaign for the August 17 local government election in Bauchi State on Wednesday, August 7.
The PDP Governor said Tinubu’s policies were not working and if they continued, he would invite the president to serve as the campaign director for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2027.
