- Here are the best and worst-dressed celebrities at the 17th edition of the Headies Awards
The 17th Headies Awards, which took place on April 27, at the Landmark Events Centre in Lagos, was a night to remember.
With the exciting theme "Back to Base" and "Apologetically African," the event showcased the vibrant talent of Nigeria's music and entertainment industry.
Hosted by popular figures Nancy Isime, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, and Hawa Magaji, the red carpet was ablaze with stunning outfits. Fans and fashion enthusiasts were amazed by the array of traditional and modern attire, featuring beautifully tailored suits, elegant gowns, and striking African designs.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was present at the event, and among the noteworthy attendees were trendy couples Priscilla Ojo and Juma Jux, and well-known personalities like Chioma Ikokwu, Annie Macaulay, Liquorose, and Neo. Priscilla captivated everyone in a vibrant red dress paired with an elaborate hat, while Juma Jux radiated sophistication in his finely crafted suede ensemble adorned with stones.
Annie Macaulay turned heads in a contemporary three-piece suit made from traditional Adire fabric, delicately embellished with beads.
Meanwhile, former Big Brother Naija star Neo Akpofure maintained a stylish edge in a fashionable armless jacket and shorts, showcasing a blend of contemporary flair and classic poise.
However, not every celebrity managed to impress, as a few missed the mark with their outfit choices, leaving some fashion critics surprised.
While many dazzled, a handful seemed to have not gotten the memoleading to a blend of both striking and stilted styles on the red carpet.
The Headies Awards wasn’t just about celebrating music but also about showcasing the essence of Nigerian fashion.

Worst dressed celebrities at 17th edition of Headies Awards
Although they gave their best, Nasboi's flashy blazers, Kemen's uninspired Agbada, Cubana Chiefpriest's casual look and Davido's green shoe were absolute misses.
For Nasboi, his black suit was overshadowed by his bold, colourful blazer, which lacked elegance and added more flash than finesse to his overall look.
The former Big Brother Naija housemate Kemen wore an Agbada, a traditional Nigerian attire, but failed to make a lasting impression with his outfit.
Cubana Chiefpriest's laid-back approach to dressing for the event didn't quite fit the occasion, making him stand out for all the wrong reasons.
Also, Davido's white Agbada was a great choice, but his green shoes were a jarring note that detracted from an otherwise stylish outfit.

3. Davido
