Chigozie Udalor, a site engineer at a fish pond in Bod camp Akwukwu Igbo community, Delta State, met a gruesome end at the hands of his employees.
The police investigation revealed that Udalor's workers conspired against him after discovering he had a significant amount of money in his Moniepoint account.
According to the spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, Udalor's cousin, Hyacinth Nnalue, reported him missing on December 12, 2024.
The investigation led to the arrest of two suspects, David Tacho and Daniel Orshio, who are currently in custody.
Preliminary findings indicate that David Tacho, along with his brother Victor Tacho and accomplices Pius Daniel and Daniel Orshio, brutally murdered Udalor using a hammer. They then tied him up and buried him in a shallow grave at the site.
The police have exhumed Udalor's body, which is awaiting autopsy. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects, Victor Tacho and Pius Daniel, who are still at large.
