Following his live performance at FC Barcelona's celebration party after their Copa del Rey final victory over Real Madrid on April 26, Nigerian Afrobeats singer Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, expressed heartfelt gratitude for this significant milestone in his career.

On April 30, Skales took to his X account to share his thoughts over the attention he had gained following his performance.

His post read

"I feel like my life just restarted again … I’m nothing but a learner … pls allow me to enjoy this moment without disrespecting anyone that has achieved way more than me … God is the greatest … let’s grow together yall 🙏."

This moment of celebration coincided with Skales' hit song Shake Body, which recently achieved its biggest streaming day on Spotify, accumulating 213,000 streams almost 11 years after its release.

In addition to his performance, Skales had the opportunity to meet Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, who contributed significantly to the match by providing two assists, helping his team secure a 3-2 win in extra time.

The Nigerian artiste shared a video of their meeting on Instagram, where he also interacted with Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde before taking the stage to perform Shake Body, a track from his 2015 album, Man of the Year.

Skales' post has sparked reactions online, with fans and followers extending their congratulations while encouraging him to continue improving his craft.
