- Popular Nigerian singer Asa has been selected for the 2025 Yale World Fellowship

Renowned Nigerian singer Bukola Elemide, known as Aṣa, has been named among participants for the 2025 Yale World Fellowship.
As a fellow, the singer-songwriter will join a global network of changemakers selected for this prestigious programme.
In an X (formerly Twitter) post on March 27, Asa’s feat was announced with congratulatory messages to the popular singer.
The Yale Fellowship initiative also brings leaders across various fields in the world for an intensive four-month experience at Yale University.
Coordinated by the university’s International Leadership Centre, the programme is a flagship initiative designed to groom global leaders and expand their perspectives.
Yale World Fellowship selects 16 participants every year from over thousands applications for the training. Since its launch in 2002, the program has welcomed over 400 Fellows from 101 countries.

This year’s Fellows include professionals from politics, media, international development, and justice. Alongside Aṣa, the 2025 Yale World Fellows are:
