Nigerian skit maker and actor Kamo State recently shared a heartfelt message expressing gratitude to Nollywood actress Funke Akindele for her support during his wife Esther Ayoola’s recent childbirth experience.
The actor announced the arrival of his newborn baby on Instagram on May 3, five months after his wedding.
In his emotional post, Kamo referred to Funke as "AN ANGEL IN HUMAN FORM (Iyami Olufunke Mi Owon)" and lauded her as a "beacon of light in every storm."
He expressed gratitude for her presence during some challenging nights at the hospital, showcasing her unwavering love and vigilance.
He highlighted her generous offer to fly his wife to the US for childbirth and noted the daily calls to check on Esther, even while in Dubai.
Kamo emphasised her commitment to ensuring their safety, securing top medical care, and covering all hospital expenses.
As the family prepares to christen their baby this Tuesday, May 6, Kamo acknowledged Funke's role in sponsoring the naming ceremony, from food to outfits, ensuring the event is a memorable celebration.
"IYAMI IYAMI, your generosity knows no bounds, and your love is a gift I cherish every single day," Kamo wrote, expressing his heartfelt appreciation. He prayed for her blessings, health, and happiness for all her kindness.
His wife, Esther Ayoola, also joined in the appreciation, calling Funke her "mother-in-law" and thanking her for the warmth and good meals she provides, reinforcing the familial bond between the actress and the couple.
In her response, Funke Akindele expressed her joy over Kamo’s gratitude, stating,
“If I don’t do it, God will send another person to do it. Congratulations to us o!!” She extended her love to Esther, emphasising the blessings of family and community.
