Survival Agricultural Hub Limited (SAHL) marked a significant milestone on April 17 with the official unveiling of its premium, unadulterated organic palm oil at a vibrant and purpose-driven event that celebrated culture, innovation, and community.
Held at the company’s headquarters, the launch drew dignitaries from across the state and showcased SAHL’s commitment to promoting healthy living and food security through high-quality agricultural products.
The event opened on a reflective note with a prayer by Miss Faith, SAHL’s Human Resources Manager, followed by a welcome address from Chief Operating Officer, Mrs. Oduntan Oluwatobi.
In her remarks, she highlighted the importance of good nutrition in family life, especially for mothers, and the need for cooking with pure, high-quality palm oil.
“At SAHL, your health is our priority,” she stated as she introduced the new palm oil product, made from carefully selected palm kernels and processed under strict quality standards.
Guests were treated to a video presentation that offered an inside look at SAHL’s flourishing palm plantation, home to over 700 healthy palm trees. The video highlighted the company’s vision of agricultural excellence and sustainability.
Sales Manager, Mr. Jimoh Moshood, took the audience through SAHL’s remarkable journey. Founded on November 9, 2022, the company has grown rapidly into a diversified agribusiness, making its mark in poultry, aquaculture, livestock farming, and agro-tourism.
In the poultry sector, SAHL manages over 20,000 layer birds, producing more than 15,000 crates of eggs monthly for both retail and wholesale markets.
Its Point-of-Lay (POL) programme, with over 30,000 birds sold per batch, has positioned SAHL as a trusted partner for farmers and distributors nationwide.
Beyond numbers, Mr. Moshood emphasised the company’s strong commitment to customer service. SAHL provides clients with up to one year of follow-up support, offering expert guidance that has earned it a reputation as one of the leading farms in the Point-of-Lay category.
In aquaculture, SAHL operates a 3,500-square-metre pond system that produces up to 100,000 catfish per season. These are processed using modern oven-drying technology, resulting in hygienic, stone-free fish that are neatly packaged in sizes ranging from 250g to 1kg for household and commercial consumption.
Mr. Moshood also highlighted SAHL’s vertically integrated value chain, from rearing to processing and packaging. “No wonder our customers keep coming back for more,” he remarked.
The event also introduced guests to SAHL’s pioneering Agric Hub City, a modern agro-tourism destination that blends agriculture with immersive experiences.
Visitors can engage in exotic animal encounters, thrilling horseback rides, aquatic explorations, and nature-based learning activities. The hub aims to connect people to their food sources while offering fun and education for all ages.
In his keynote speech, Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Oluwatobi Oduntan, reflected on SAHL’s transformation from its humble beginnings as Survival Poultry Farm Services into a thriving agribusiness.
He paid special tribute to his co-founder, describing them as a pillar of strength and strategic insight behind the company’s rapid rise.
Interestingly, the CEO revealed that palm trees were not originally part of the farm’s blueprint. “Entrepreneurship is about identifying hidden opportunities,” he said. “We saw a clear need for clean, unadulterated palm oil in the market and decided to meet that demand.”
He also extended heartfelt appreciation to SAHL’s Project Manager, Engr. Benedict, for his hands-on leadership in bringing the palm oil project to life.
The celebration ended with lively music, delicious food, and product tastings. Guests shared glowing testimonials about SAHL’s eggs, catfish, and new palm oil, with many leaving the event with sample bottles in hand.
Looking ahead, SAHL is focused on expanding its distribution by partnering with eateries, hotels, supermarkets, and retailers nationwide. “We’re just getting started,” said the CEO.
Survival Agricultural Hub Limited continues to build more than just a farm; it is creating a future where agriculture meets wellness, recreation, and education.
