Nigeria’s women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, came from behind to beat Senegal 75–68 in the semifinals of the 2025 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket on Friday.
The result sends Nigeria to a fifth consecutive AfroBasket final and extends their unbeaten streak in the competition to 23 games, dating back to 2015.
Down 57–49 at the end of the third quarter, D’Tigress responded with a dominant 26–11 fourth-quarter run to seal the comeback win.

Cierra Dillard led all scorers with 26 points, adding 7 rebounds and 3 assists. She was supported by Ezinne Kalu (19 points), Promise Amukamara (16), and Amy Okonkwo (15).
